While I will continue to think about these five elements in general, I am going to cease writing my reviews in sections termed specifically Writing, Plot, Pacing, World Building, and Characters. While this works very well for some novels, it has been too restricting for many. I feel it affects the flow of writing a helpful review, and makes me take notes based on categories rather than free form thought. Each review should best reflect the essence of the book, and I want to give myself the leeway to say what needs to be said, regardless of whether it fits into a category!
The star assignments will have the same meaning.
